Mária Horváth director
was born in 1952. She studied as a goldsmith at the Pécs Vocational School of Arts. In 1971 she joined the Kecskemét Film Studio at the time it was founded. She has two daughters, three granddaughters and still some film plans. In 1990 she received the Balázs Béla Award. In her films she intends to create the synthesis of poetry and animation.
Ferenc Mikulás managing director
was expelled from high school in the spring of 1957, due to his participation in the Hungarian Revolution of 1956. In the following years, he was working as a geodesist. He wrote screenplays and directed short features. From 1970, he began to work on animation films in Pannonia Film Studio. From 1 June 1971, he is the director of Kecskemét Animation Film Studio, producer of several animation films and series. From 1985 he is the director of Kecskeméti Animation Film Festival. From 1997 to 2000, he has been a member of ASIFA’s directors’ board. At present he is the managing director of the Kecskemétfilm Ltd. and the producer of films prepared in this studio.
Gizella Neuberger director, background artist
was born in Mosonmagyaróvár in 1953. She finished her studies at the Secondary School for Arts in Pécs. She took a degree at the High School for Applied Arts in Budapest. Since 1972 she has been living in Kecskemét and working at the Animation Studio, recently called Kecskemétfilm Ltd. As a background artist she participated in the preparation of the series “Waterspider-Wonderspider”, “Hungarian Folk Tales”, “Tales of King Matthias”, “Legends from the Hungarian History”. In the first place she is concerning with traditional and digital background painting and graphics although she take a trip to the field of the experimental films with pleasure.
Roland Tóth-Pócs director, animator
was born in 1984 in Eger, Hungary. He studied visual communication at Károly Eszterházy College in Eger. He was the lead animator in the first Hungarian 3D movie, ’Egon & Dönci’ made in 2007.
Vera Vécsy production manager
was born in Kecskemét in October 23, 1949. She graduated from the Kecskemét Technical University in 1970. She started working at the Kecskemét Studio in 1972. She was production manager in case of all the „films of whatever shape, type and form” that were produced at the studio. That amounts to approximately 500 titles with a total running time of about 3000 minutes.
