In our experimental moving-image works, the camera is joined by flatbed scanners, robotic telescopes, algorithms and generative imaging systems in the construction of the visual field. We repeatedly return to the question of how technical media shape our perception of reality, what happens when human qualities are projected onto machines, and how space-based media alter our understanding of the Earth, the cosmos and our own place within them. For us, moving image is a medium in which documented and constructed images, machine observation and human imagination continually modify one another’s meaning and form.
